I-India’s mission is to provide care, love and development for children and communities living on the streets of Jaipur and in conditions of extreme poverty. We strive to help as many children as possible and focus on those in most urgent need.

Our Philosophy

help as many children as possible

focus on those in greatest need

do not discriminate or avoid difficult cases

It was established in in 1993 and currently reach over 4000 children daily through our schools, residential homes and vocational centres. The non-governmental organisation (NGO) in Jaipur assist children with immediate challenges, such as homelessness, child laborers, malnutrition and illness, while also developing their attitudes and skills in a way so that they have greater choice to transform their future.

Our strategy includes creating a comprehensive system of services to fulfill children’s long-term needs for education, skills, and emotional support, as well as their short-term needs for nutrition, health and shelter and maximise the impact of this system through: integrating programs, monitoring and improving the quality of service, and seizing opportunities to expand.

Unlike many other organisations, I-India has little savings as it spends 95.52% of all funds donated on its programs with only 4.48% going towards administrative costs. The eleven-member Board is elected bi-annually and consists of doctors, professors, social workers and community members.

I-India is a registered under the Societies Act of Rajasthan as an association working for the welfare of the poor people of the state. It is registered under the Foreign Contributions Registration Act (FCRA) of 1976 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs permitting it to receive foreign donations. Domestic donations are exempted for Income Tax purposes under 80G of the Income Tax Act.
